A truly fantastic review!

I remain puzzled at the cold reception this watch has received, particularly because it was love at first sight for me. In fact, it was so much so, that rather than being a question of whether or not to buy one, it was a question of which case/strap combination I was going to choose.
Initially, I was drawn to that mesmerizing "meteor" dial and steel case, but once I was presented with both versions in person, the ceramised titanium, black dial and olive drab NATO won the day. Good thing that I didn't waste any time going about putting one on my wrist, too, as it seems that the ceramised titanium has already been discontinued in favor of standard satinized titanium. Apparently the hardened material was deemed too difficult and expensive to manufacture. I'm not sure how many were ultimately produced, but the quantity is quite small, so for those on the fence who we're leaning toward this version, I would suggest that they not wait to make their move.
On the wrist it's a pure delight, and in spite of its polarizing nature amongst collectors, it has proven to be one of my most popular pieces amongst laypeople. Honestly, I can't get enough if this watch. Indeed, when I'm wearing something else, be it an AP, JLC, IWC, etc, I find myself pining for the Bathyscaphe.
What can I say? I love it!

Adam
