A quick shot of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Barakuda.
Not the first choice, when it comes to vintage FFs, as there are more charismatic ones, like the RI 3/ 6 / 9 / 12, the RI, the Milspecs...
But there are several ways to see the collection. This Barakuda and a No Rad Bund could be seen as a very nice approach.
For those who already own the RIs, or the Milspecs, well, this is a nice way to complement the collection.
Not a big fan of the date, but I must say that these red touches drive me crazy. And they are very à propos for Xmas!
One day, maybe, I will find mine!

When i first picked up my first Barakudas i thought someone had messed around with the dial lume. After studying other Barakudas i noticed the lume was done by hand and it was evident. I am sure it was quite difficult to lume two different colors. Nice ex...

An unusual timepiece.. +1 on the red accents, nice !.. Strong, tool-type appeal ! :)
.. but not without some charm, despite the dominant looking dial.. Assume, if one has got several "other" FFs, that's an option ! On a personal note, in my situation ( with just one meager AquaLung NoRad - which I love, BTW), of course, I would be looking...
Alas, the Milspec train has long gone. The Barakuda remains " human...
