Blancpain Ranked as Top Luxury Watch

May 14, 2010,14:02 PM

Blancpain has proven time and time again that it ranks as the best amongst the best. In a recent survey conducted by New York City-based The Luxury Institute, their 2010 Luxury Brand Status Index survey, rated Swiss brand Blancpain as the "most luxurious" watch brand.

Blancpain Ranked As Top Luxury Watch

Remaining faithful to the tradition of pure craftsmanship, thirteen generations of watchmakers have passed down their creativity and expertise for more than 275 years. This heritage is also an integral part of every Blancpain timepiece, making it a precious object to be passed down from generation to generation.

"In my mind, Blancpain has always been rather revolutionary... a little bit crazy, a bit of an adventurer. We have always tried to be different, to become more innovative, to try things that have not been tried or been achieved in the past."

Marc A. Hayek ,

CEO of Blancpain.

No PP? I'm surprised. I would have put that at #1 for sure. Then maybe VC and Blancpain. I guess beauty and $$ are in the eye (and pocketbook/wallet) of the beholder. Thanks! =:^D

Rather surprised myself

The list looks strange to me. Where are Patek Philippe, AP, and A.Lange & Sohne?

Yeah the results of this survey are puzzling

It's absolutely ridiculous that Patek isn't in the top 10 on this list. To me, this demonstrates that The Luxury Institute really isn't an ideal entity to perform any type of watch surveys or rankings :P Those polled were "500 US pentamillionnaires - defi...

Congratulations....

to Blancpain..... However, I too find the top ten list puzzling also...... Not that Blancpain does not deserve to be there... they do make amazing calibres and their quality is amazing..... but.... there are several manufacturers missing from the list and...

I wonder how many of the polled "petamillionaires" actually responded

... if it were many I would be very puzzled by this outcome. Best Andreas
