i tend to agree it is not ideal

that breitling photo is great.  and whilst my strap works very well (function) i agree it doesn't look ideal.  tell truth with the weight of the watch it also isn't as comfortable as say the JB champion milanese with my speedmaster (a much lighter watch).

i'd be interested to hear what your (or others) thoughts are on why it isn't working (aesthetically) and what might be better.  in regard to the previous reply re: non-tapering strap?  when you say non-tapering i presume you mean the way the strap is 20 mm wide but 22 mm at the lug?  i do need a solution to this and i'd like to try something other than the official bracelet.

BPFF on Milanese

 By: mr_gray : January 12th, 2015-15:56
Hi in being a big fan of my FF I have however, at times, found reason to doubt the wisdom of the strap. I live in a humid climate and I'm prone to sweating I do admit and the combo led to a strap that did not smell very nice. My solution was to find a mil...

Looks very vintage

The Milanese is a cool solution. I can't really tell how the balance feels on the wrist but if it feels good great. Alternatively you may one to try the same style that you find on the Omega Ploprof. I am pretty sure you will find it in 22mm but not 23mm....

If you like it

Forgive me...because my comment won't be the usual flattering pat on the back and ultimately what matters, is that you like it. But since we're on a public forum and we discuss watch designs and aesthetic, etc. I must admit, that to my eye, that looks hor...

off the top of my head...

Off the top of my head, I think the 3 things that I don't like about this combination is 1. the strap is too narrow, way to narrow. 2. the strap should roll over the tube not under it. 3. the mesh of the milanese should be bigger (if that makes sense)and ...

hi i have been working on this. i haven't come up with much. it is important that the solution is waterproof and hence all the very nice straps one can get are out (lots of custom options even for the difficult width of 23mm). after considering a bunch of...

sail strap is perfect for swimming...

So I am at a loss on why would you want to replace it with ...well...that. It sort of detracts a lot from the watch. What is wrong with the original? you mentioning swimming. The original strap is made for that! I did swim several times with the original ...

sail strap

 By: mr_gray : July 11th, 2015-03:25
hi there, i thought the sail strap would be perfect but for me it did not last a year. it was a very short time. however this may have been due to a lack of proper care/maintenance. i have still not resolved the issue and totally agree with the general se...
