Question
By: Jurry : March 12th, 2020-10:11
If those are the rules (which I can understand) then what are your views on following two issues: - thru the forum and in a thread discussion another fellow purist and me (we don’t know each other besides this forum) enthusiastically agreed to meet when I...
Hi Jurry...

As much as I sympathize with the loss of your friends beautiful timepieces, I am very glad that he was not physically attacked. More watches will be available to him.
Yeah but I didn’t write it
By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : March 12th, 2020-12:12
I wrote the text in the post and I mentioned the RITZ not the RITZ Carlton
Why ? [nt]
By: Cpt Scarlet : March 12th, 2020-10:06
They reported to the police but no serious action yet
By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : March 12th, 2020-10:12
The incident happened two or three days ago Plus there have been a huge number of robberies of watches in london and not a single reaction done It’s sad but true
Good idea ....

It could help us all.
So apparently he met them through Chrono24
By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : March 12th, 2020-13:39
From there through mobile He met them first time and didn’t bring any watch with him Where as they came loaded wearing Nautilus and AP skeletons So it seems they walked the walk and talked the talk if you know what I mean It seems all preplanned
His mistake was meeting them...
By: Cpt Scarlet : March 12th, 2020-13:58
Thank you for following this up. I feel for his loss and hope that we can help him in someway.
True

If the community can spread the word maybe
it really is crazy
By: radone : March 12th, 2020-10:14
I would have never expected to be safer to wear expensive watches in Bucharest than in London. But it really is.
Sickening
By: colton_d : March 12th, 2020-10:52
ugh, makes me rethink the many times I have enthusiastically met with other collectors while traveling. Sincere hope that this person is reunited one day with the stolen pieces. Be careful out there! Colton
Terrible story

But we can all learn from get more and more sophisticated. Sometimes, because we love watches and want to share our passion, we take risk and can be a bit naive. Especially if someone talks the language of watches. It doesn’t necessarily mean we can trus...

I had a watch stolen from my house in NJ. The police came and did a report and had absolutely no interest in helping me. Very disappointing
Honestly, London is becoming more and more like New York back in the 80s!!
By: Centurionone : March 13th, 2020-00:27
I got robbed outside a restaurant in Mayfair on Monday all caught on cctv and as mentioned here police didn’t seem that interested as I came to no bodily harm apart from a push. Luckily they were only interested in my bag and didn’t attempt to grab my wat...
Terrible world we live in

And LONDON seems to be very unsafe nowadays for wearing any luxury watch. A good friend from China got his RM stolen from his wrist after exiting a restaurant. The robbers were clearly helped and tipped from inside the restaurant as they were awaiting him...
