Lovely looking watches

by two very talented young Belgian men. I wish them much success as it is a very competitive market out there. I particularly like how the bezel is kept to a minimum so what we get is a dial filling up the case.
They're fabulous....

only thing I'd change is the typeface of the name on the dial

Wish success
I have a view, for sure.

Big fan of Ressence, so I’m happy to see the Belgian scene grow out. I like the creative elements brought to the design by the young team, including the lack of a bezel, the box crystal and the moire guilloche pattern. The hands appear to be simple. If th...
Thanks for the points.

Fully agree, (also with the other comments!) and am especially appreciative of the points you made that I had not considered. I wonder what could be done to improve on the prototype design to meet these points... Am thinking about it, though not sure I’ll...
Hi Niall,

Lovely looking tourbillon watch. Having spent a few mins reading about them, their website, IG etc. I applaud their initial effort. One thing that I'd appreciate though is a bit more transparency from the company as to what movement they are using from Sw...
Thanks Tim.

Yes, more info on the movement would be great! Only thing available was the calibre reference, but I’ve not been able to find any more out.
A quick update -
By: NoH : September 1st, 2019-08:08
The Van Bricht team came back to me on that and said the movement is provided by an independent supplier close to La Chaux du Fond, is fully reworked by Van Bricht from A-Z, with bridges all being hand chamfered and hand finished etc. The design is theirs...
One more time, Who is the indpendent supplier?
By: Tim Jackson : September 3rd, 2019-13:35
Hi Niall, I hate to be the fly in the ointment here and I'm only asking because it appears the folks at Van Bricht are not willing to answer or rather are putting off the inevitable...There is no shame in telling collectors who provided the base caliber f...
I agree with you Tim.
By: NoH : September 4th, 2019-09:28
I’ve asked and was told they’d rather not divulge their suppliers... Their choice I guess, but yes, it would inspire confidence if there was more openness. All the best, Niall
Mmmm, looks like they are going to try the old way...

Not smart from where I sit. Sad to read this actually...I wonder who is "Advising them" on how to go about telling collectors about their work. Maybe I'm wrong and they will be wildly successful. I certainly don't know everything and I hope they figure it...
maybe this helps a bit....

Good to see you here! thank you for your detective work!!!

So TEC Ebauches is the base. Nothing to be ashamed of. I wonder why companies still try to keep their suppliers unknown. I guess it's the "way things have been done" in the watch business...it doesn't engender confidence though in a new young company from...
Other supplier but same "problem"
By: watching00000 : October 30th, 2019-01:57
They recently mentioned on Instagram that their supplier was not TEC but BCP. But they also stated they would start producing all parts of the movement themselves and even that for the prototype they already did. Which clearly, is not the case. Then the p...

My meeting with Van Bricht today
By: redsubmariner : September 26th, 2019-11:14
Hi all. I met with Bernard today. He the one if the two founders. He showed me one prototype with a moire guilloche dial centered around the Tourbillon. His inspiration comes from a famuly Patek pocketwatch which has a reaumur temperature measuring device...
Indeed it does.

I find it attractive as an overall package. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be in a position to place an order just now...but you never know...
