Watch Winder Settings

Mar 30, 2005,05:17 AM

I own a JLC Reverso Sun Moon Calibre 823.
I bought an electric watch winder:

options: Clockwise, counter clockwise or both.
Plus 4 settings:

1. interval is 12 minutes for every 33 seconds winding
2. interval is 15 minutes for every 33 seconds winding
3. interval is 18 minutes then reverse rotation while in mode 3
the motor will turn clockwise or anti clock wise for 33 seconds
4. interval is 24 minutes for every 33 seconds winding.

After 33 seconds the winding machine will stop for 12, 15, 18 minutes accordingly.

In mode 3 it repeates every 18 minutes until turned off.

I cannot find any information on the correct setting(s).

My watch manual says: winding crown clock wise.

Please help me with the correct settings if you know for certain the correct answer.

Thank you very much.

...It takes about 22 turns of the crown to give the watch it's full 42 hour power reserve. You can save that winder for the JLC Master Moon or Master Perpetual.

I got the watch recently as a gift and then my kids bought me the watch winder because the man at the store said: oh yes it will work with a JLC, absolutely. And I don't know enough about the difference in watches yet -- except mine doesn't have a battery...

As you know now...
