Many parts of this watch worry me. The caseback seems bizarre.

The auction was very under the radar, it probably could have gone much higher if it were in a major watch auction or was more talked about. This was close to a secret.

Yes, risky/gutsy bringing the vintage dive watches down to 30ish meters deep. I keep my vintage Submariner on a leather strap so I don't get tempted. But I'm sure the clownfish appreciated the classy dive watch. And thanks the additional thoughts.

The Milspec on the back cover didn't seem to fit the LIP dial (from what very little I could tell about the LIP with moisture indicator dial version) but thanks for the very fast response

Thanks, will give it a try. And yes, certainly being careful and willing to pay for a great watch. The records on the different models/ref numbers seem to be hard to come by/weren’t ever kept well by Blancpain so doing my research. This seems to be most knowledgeable forum out on vintage FF there so
