new shoes and service experience

Jul 17, 2014,05:49 AM

I just received back from its first service in 6 years my FF and, as experienced before, Blancpain has done a top job (it remains the best experience compared to any other manufacture).
As part of the service, I was provided a new strap, so I chose to go for the olive green. I still love the original black, but the green makes the watch stand out more, and I like that, since I find the FF such a stunning and flawless piece.

Below are a couple of pictures.

All the best,
Alexandros

and based on past service experience it lasts 4-5 months. Also this time, I was told it would be 4 months. But, I guess since the watch was in excellent condition, it only took two months. I would think it also depends on the complexity of the mechanism a...

As for your strap, my friend, it is superb. The texture, and the color. Love it! Enjoy your FF. Nicolas

because I do like to keep my watches as pristine as possible. In this case, the watch was as good as new, but thought that maybe it was time for some fresh lubricants : ) Have a great weekend and I do hope you will take the right decision! Alexandros

thank you for your reply

i really appreciate you replying to my question and for giving me some encouragement. the best encouragement however is that you sent it in after 6 years simply because you wanted to not because you needed to. it is very nice to have a watch one can rely ...

modern FFs so far, I have to say that I never faced any issues. They run perfectly, they seem unable to scratch thanks to the dome crystal and the domed bezel taking all the contacts, while the power reserve is very enjoyable since it allows you to rotate...

Agreed, FF 2007-present is classic to be

Hi agyzas, You make an excellent observation that captures the entire appeal of the modern FF. It's true to the basic aesthetic and adventurous spirit of the original, but it's identity owes nothing to the 1950's forebear. If there had been no Milspecs, L...

One of the most beautiful modern diving watch, clearly.

And, oooh, yes, I see it as a Classic to be, too. Without any doubt. Best, Nicolas
