I did have a good time...

I know that you prefer the other 50 Fathoms models over the Bathyscaphe.

Historically, I'm not aware of a Bathyscaphe model with a chronograph.  And I don't like the chronograph Bathyscaphe version that just came out at Baselworld over the normal Bathyscaphe.

But in the interest of being faithful to the original 50 Fathoms, why are many die-hard 50 Fathoms fans critical of the Bathyscaphe?

From 0.001 horsepower to more than 700+ horsepower. Energy. I have a thing with energy; correction, I have a perpetual fling with energy. Especially energy measured in horsepowers, preferably lots of horsepowers on an open road. The potential energy of a ...

I suspect You have single-handedly filled the PuristS disk drives to capacity! Did you walk the course? That hairpin always scares me! I like the carbon fiber watch with Aqua Lung big date movement, but what happened to the 3? Assymmetry bugs me! One of m...

That was a long Friday and Saturday. Took 387 photos over 2.1 gigabytes of photos. Took forever to enhance and edit the photos. Then the uploader only uploaded the non-enhanced version of the photo. Unfortunately didn't walk the course. But got some advic...

Thanks for the report on the races at Laguna Seca. Do you have any video of the Lambo's on the track, it would be easier to see how it enters and exits the apex. I'm also surprised about the use of regular brakes instead of ceramic. Regards, ED-209

Alas no videos.

But check out this. It might help. It's not a Lamborghini unfortunately. I couldn't embed the video. So here's a YouTube link to the PuristSPro video website. This is the Mercedes-Benz instructors giving an instructional lap of how to properly drive the c...

They say as you get older, your eyesight gets worse. 5s look like 8s. 3s look like 8s. I hope this mistake is a one time thing, and not because of me getting older. How do you like the non-Chronograph Bathyscaphe?

I like it a lot for what it is ...

 By: small-luxury-world : May 9th, 2014-10:33
an understated and very solide sports watch with an outstanding & reliable movement and on top it is (relatively) affordable. For me there is no serious need to get one, as I am the lucky owner of the "original" Fifty Fathom. But if my son would be ol...

In complete agreement.

I'm really impressed with the movement's quality. Especially considering the price-point. I have to say, this Blancpain is a great value piece!
