Bigger, Higher, Crazier

We had a small, but spectacular GTG, today in Paris.
The Thema was the Vintage FFs.
I will prepare some topics about this event, but I wanted to share with you 2 or 3 pics right now.
The Forces in presence... 18 FFs! :
Trying to " stack " them is a very dangerous excercize...
I tried to stack 10, it was just impossible, so the infernal tower only includes 9 of them...
Will come back later on some of these superb pieces, of course, so stay tuned!
Best,
Nicolas

Glue Free guaranteed, my friend.
By: amanico : November 18th, 2009-03:13
I can't imagine putting some glue on these sexy plexies... Till 5 it is ok, but from the 6th FF, I had to check that it will not fall... After the 9th, I had to give up. I love the view on the differences in the shape on the lugs, the plexies, and sometim...
So, be prepared to suffer! :)))

To see all these Beauties ( and some of them are really rare ) at the same place and moment was an unforgettable event. I will work a bit on my pics and post them later, of course. Best, Nicolas
Oh the tower ...

...to put their FF on the camo strap! It sounds crazy, but looking at the pictures it works really well IMO. Your tower is scaring me. All I can picture is FFs raining down onto the floor. :-O Looks like a great gathering of like-minds! Did Emilio bring h...
Emilio was missed a lot, Daos
By: amanico : November 18th, 2009-03:29
But we'll do it again, with him, hopefully! As for the Camo, I received it with my " new " watch, a Benrus Type I Sterile... It immedietaely looked evident to me that it was a strap for my TR 900... " French Chic "... Best, Sister. Vlad Dracul.
Tres chic!
By: dxboon : November 18th, 2009-18:37
You are so stylish, Nicolas! I love that watch/strap combo! Daos

When you see the price of an " US NAVY " or of a TR 900... But on the other side, how much would you have to pay for a Rolex 5517 or for a Rolex 6538??? And I don't even speak about the hottest Vintage Panerais... Much, waaay much more for an equal, or ev...

By: fifty fathoms : November 18th, 2009-11:39
Dear Nicolas, yes in comparison to a real U-boat the Fiftys are really cheap (lol) for me the hunt is still rolling ;-) good luck for the other hunters as well ! best regars Stephan
by the way
By: fifty fathoms : November 18th, 2009-11:43
by the way ... what are the prices for a US or TR 900 ? I am on the list for a "tornek" from Bill Yao. I like his watches for wearing them every day at work ! Reagards Stephan
The TR 900 are quite pricey
By: amanico : November 18th, 2009-11:46
You know the problem, FF... Maybe 100 / 150 are still " alive " nowadays. From what I saw on the different markets, I'd say between 15 / 25 000 USD... Best, Nicolas
this is what I exspected
By: fifty fathoms : November 18th, 2009-11:52
I was offered one TR 900 years ago for 9000 dollares...., this is passed history. Next I have to ask my Psy, how to live with it .... so long till next time Stephan

When you come, I will organize it for you. Best! Nicolas
They are tool watches
By: amanico : November 18th, 2009-23:25
As well as the Rolex Subs or the Omega Seamaster... They don't need a superbly finished movement, IMO, as their purpose is not here... I rather see them as pieces of History, with a big Soul. Best, my friend. Nicolas
Hi, Bernard
By: amanico : November 20th, 2009-13:45
I tried 10, I had to stop at 9 stacked FFs... For Panerai watches, I was able to go till 12. Best, Nicolas
