Owning three

modern FFs so far, I have to say that I never faced any issues. They run perfectly, they seem unable to scratch thanks to the dome crystal and the domed bezel taking all the contacts, while the power reserve is very enjoyable since it allows you to rotate watches without having to set them up every time.
Needless to say that I love the design of them too, being extremely smooth and perfect from every angle.
For me the reason that I believe I have fallen in love (and not out after all these years) with the modern FF is that I cannot think of any other watch in the world that is a true modern classic. It does not copy any older design, yet I am sure it will be a classic in the future since the shape and the quality of the watch in all departments sets industry standards.
Have a great day and best regards,
Alexandros

I just received back from its first service in 6 years my FF and, as experienced before, Blancpain has done a top job (it remains the best experience compared to any other manufacture). As part of the service, I was provided a new strap, so I chose to go ...

because I do like to keep my watches as pristine as possible. In this case, the watch was as good as new, but thought that maybe it was time for some fresh lubricants : ) Have a great weekend and I do hope you will take the right decision! Alexandros

i really appreciate you replying to my question and for giving me some encouragement. the best encouragement however is that you sent it in after 6 years simply because you wanted to not because you needed to. it is very nice to have a watch one can rely ...

Agreed, FF 2007-present is classic to be
By: Tim_M : August 3rd, 2014-19:47
Hi agyzas, You make an excellent observation that captures the entire appeal of the modern FF. It's true to the basic aesthetic and adventurous spirit of the original, but it's identity owes nothing to the 1950's forebear. If there had been no Milspecs, L...
